10 years of Future Pathways

10 Years

2026 marks 10 years of Future Pathways.

Future Pathways opened in 2016. The service was set up to support people who experienced abuse and neglect in the Scottish care system. The aim was to make sure people could get support to live full, healthy and independent lives.

To do this, we focus on what is most important to people. We support people to make the changes they want to see in their life. And we help people to set goals for what they want to do or achieve.

We want to make sure that Future Pathways keeps working well. Services work best when they listen to people – it means we can make sure that support is right for you. So, keep sharing your feedback with us – we want to hear from you. Thank you to everyone who has given us feedback over the past 10 years. Your voice has made a difference – you have helped us to learn and grow.

As we mark 10 Years of Future Pathways, we will continue to:

  • create ways for people to share their experiences and journeys
  • highlight the difference that Future Pathways makes
  • help other services learn more about how they can meet people’s needs
